While the scope itself works to zoom in clearly on subjects and the screen is clear, we ran into several issues.
The way the screen and scope part attach to the stand is very precarious and not sturdy. It is only held on by two suction cup screws that just press into the side of the scope and it's easily knocked off. The scope is also top heavy and fairly easy to knock over.
We ran into a lot of difficulty installing the UV filter properly onto the scope upon assembling the scope. The directions were super brief, unclear, and when I tried to search for clarification on the Andonstar website, there was nothing. We ended up leaving off the UV filter and cap entirely.
Upon purchasing the scope, it was made clear that this scope could connect to a PC to view the camera through the PC. However, we downloaded the necessary software provided by the andonstar website onto the PC, followed the instructions to plug in the microscope, but could not get the microscope to successfully connect. The options shown on the microscope screen were also different than the options listed in the instruction manual and the youtube troubleshooting videos we watched. We are disappointed that we cannot connect the scope to the PC.
